I had protected vaginal intercourse some 8 weeks back with an office collegue who has joined our office some 6 months back. I also performed cunnilingus on her which was not protected and for a few moments I could feel her cumming (vaginal fluid) in my mouth. I later asked her if she had any HIV or STD issues as I was scared. She said she is not HIV positive nor does she have any STD/health issues and also she does not have multiple sexual partners. She is single. The condom was intact and there were no signs of any breakage. I have perfect and normal oral health and I also do not have multiple sexual partners.
For the last 8 weeks I did not have any fever or all over body macopapular rash or myalgia. In short I did not have any classic ARS symptoms. I have been very vigilant throughout.
For the peace of my mind I will go for a HIV test after 3 months. But I have some questions specially for the medical practioners in this forum:
1. Did I encounter risk of exposure of HIV infection due to cunnilingus in my case?
2. How common is HIV infection only through cunnilingus?
3. Do doctors in such case (as mine) as a protocol suggest HIV test or post-exposure treatment?
2. How common is HIV infection only through cunnilingus? NEVER HAPPENS
3. Do doctors in such case (as mine) as a protocol suggest HIV test or post-exposure treatment? HIV EXPERTS WOULD NOT
