Cunnilingus

I read on another forum that HIV is concentrated in cervical area and less near the Batholin's glands. This is the reason why cunnilingus is considered to be more safe than other ways of doing sex. Is this true?

I am sure you are right, just wanted to know if anybody saw this information documented somewhere over the internet. More or less, a lot of websites mentioned documented cases from cunnilingus, but in reality I was not able to find any person able to confirm this. Even more, nobody knows a documented cases.

Documented and verified documented cases are two different things. There are no verified documented cases.

Stop searching the internet. As well as providing insight it can also be very misleading.

look at TEAK's thread, perhaps that will help you.

This is probably the best advice I can get :).
Reading the internet can feed your fears. Sometimes scientific evidence can bring you in real world. :)

and sometimes it can lure you out of the real world with theoretical possibilities which shimmer on the horizons of reality.

you'll only get facts here. the decisions will always be your own...

You are right. Well, I just wanted to verify an information from another forum (poz.com) where forum moderators presented information below like being true but do not reveal the source of information.

"The female secretion where hiv has been shown to be present is the cervicovaginal fluid. This fluid is actually a thick mucus that covers and protects the cervix.

The fluid a woman produces when sexually excited comes from the Bartholin's glands, located on either side of the vaginal opening. I have yet to discover one shred of evidence (and believe me, I've looked) that shows this lubricating fluid to have any more hiv present than other bodily secretions such as saliva, sweat or tears. Saliva, sweat and tears are NOT infectious fluids."

Any idea where these studies can be found?
