Curious about Early Symptoms

Hi folks.

Recently I took the HIV antibody test and tested negative.  I haven't had sexual contact in 9 months - what are the chances that antibodies wouldn't have shown up by then?  My doctor wants me to take ELISA again in 3 months.

In the meantime, I'm having odd symptoms, like pain in my lymph nodes, and fever/sweats at night.  If I use a blanket, I start sweating.  There's also this uncomfortable sort of burning feeling.  Do these sound like HIV infection symptoms?

Oh yes, the symptoms - they could be due to a number of things.  Your test proves they are not due to HIV, so your doctor should explore other possibilities.

Nobody has ever taken that long to test positive to HIV and you won't be the first.
I have no idea why your doctor wants you to test again, likely for your own piece of mind.
