Diabetes and HIV

Hi all,
quick question...can having type I diabetes affect the window period for standard hiv serology antibody testing?  I had brief unprotected vaginal sex (no ejaculation) with a guy, and I tested negative 8 months later.  However, diabetes does seem to be hereditary in my family....so I just sorta became concerned with the accuracy of my test..especially because I have a single swollen lymph node that doesn't seem to want to go away.  Any chance that the 8 month test missed an infection?
Any thoughts?
Thanks!!!

Should have read you wouldn't be a late seroconverter.

You would be a late seroconverter and 3 months is conclusive.

Thanks Teak.  So six months is considered conclusive even for late seroconverters?

You are conclusively negative. Diabetes will not cause for a longer window period and you even tested over 6 months.
