Ok, this information came from WEBMD.  How do you explain this?

It's true that oral sex is less risky than some other types of sex. But you can get HIV by having oral sex with either a man or a woman who is HIV-positive. Always use a latex barrier during oral sex.

How do you explain that this same info can be found on many other websites?

Here are the facts and research...HIV transmission from oral sex has been reported but 2 well documentated studies one conducted in Spain and another in SF have shown that HIV is not passed during oral sex. Due to the reports sites like the CDC and WebMD and others take a conservative approach to the situation.

Studies that show that it is not possible carry greater weight then a guy who said his only activity was oral sex. Often when people report as oral sex there only means of possible transmission they are questioned more and most of the time they do tell of other risker behavior. The 5 Dr's on this site have never seen a case of HIV nor have they read a convincing case of HIV from oral sex.
