Do I have HIV? It keeps bugging me.

Performed oral sex on 4 different guys of unknown status over a month long period almost two years ago (yes, I was slutty, I know).

A few weeks (maybe 3-4 later) I developed an intercurrent illness with high fever, inflamed throat and myalgia, no enlarged lymph nodes that I could palpate. I got scared and had my first HIV-test 10 weeks after the last exposure. I tested negative. I then repeated the test 6 months after the exposure. Negative again.

What keeps buggig me is that I had some problems with a dental filling during the exposure (bleeding from the gums while brushing my teeth, although not during the oral sex), and the fact that I had pharyngitis when I did the last guy. Also, the one viral wart I had on my finger turned into a small family of warts fall 2006, and that made me believe that it was the HIV. Also, I had an enlarged lymph node on the inside of my thigh just before christmas, but it went back.

All in all, this makes me very uncertain. I know that I should believe the 6 month test, but it keeps bugging me somehow. Also, I'm now living monogamously with my partner, happy as ever, and I fear that I might have infected him as well (although he hasn't had any symptoms or anything).

Am I paranoid?

Have you tested for other things than HIV? You dont have HIV but this doesnt
mean you might not have something else. And it might not be std related. I have noticed when people get sick they automatically assume the worse HIV. you tests are conclusive (6) months. Good luck but I dont think you need it. Check with your health care provider and talk to him about your concerns. check medhelp stds and read the doctors forums.

Yes, you are paranoid.  Trust your negative test results.

Performing oral sex on men is a very low risk activity and slight possibility of transmission exists if ejaculation is involved. You have no reason to worry because your 10 weeks and 6 months test reported negative, something more than conclusive. You do not have HIV, Period. Consult your doctor for the symptoms you mentioned, certainly not due to HIV
