Do I need to Test

Hello Doctor,

I am male who had protected insertive anal sex and protected oral (very brief insertive and receptive) with another male whose status I don't know. We used latex condoms (new) which did not break from start to finish, I even checked the condom I used when we're finished.

Afer 2 weeks, however, I experienced sore throat, cold, cough and feverish feeling.  I used to have pharyngits almost every year, but I'm particulary worried this time because of the sexual encounter as I've mentioned above.

Are my symptoms indicative of HIV infection?  Do I need HIV testing based on this scenario?

I will appreciate your response very much.
