. I didn't think much of it at the time; however, the next day I became concerned because of the following.
A) The other man did not use a condom for vaginal intercourse, they said they were a couple but then I learned the had only recently met a few days before which leads me to believe she is at high risk having sex with strangers.
B) I had a small bump on my finger like a common wart (not a diagnosis but its just a small bump thats been there for a year or longer), no bigger than a millimeter in diameter. The top of it got scraped off at the gym. I can't remember exactly when but I'd say sometime around the event, maybe the day before. I know it was not bleeding, but it was red and discolored where the skin had broke. I used the finger when I applied lube into her anus and also briefly fingered her vagina before.
Obviously if she were hiv- I have nothing to worry about, so assuming the other case where she is hiv+ as a medical professional would you tell someone in this situation that testing was necessary? Would you characterize this risk as none, astronomically low / negligible, or a tangible risk.
Thanks for responding so promptly. I didn't think I was at risk from reading other posts but thought I'd share the full story. I think that in dealing with such a heavy topic people can be overwhelmed (I don't claim to not be) by the worst case scenario even when presented with the statistical facts that a case has not been confirmed by this transmission route.
