Does HIV Testing overrule symptoms

Do HIV Tests post window period like after 3 months and after 6 months rule out symptoms like acute tonsillitis(continuing for 8 months since exposure) and inflammed circumvillae papillae and also ACUTE HIV?

Please throw some light!!

Exactly right!  Its a rule of thumb.
You do not have a negative HIV if you test after 3 months.

I have this ACUTE TONSILLITIS which gives me unbearable sore throat which is not getting completely removed even after medication .

So should take myself hiv -ve and then proceed to GP?
