Does a diagnosis of folliculitis with yeast mean hiv +
I have posted before in this forum and you have answered my concerns but i have recently been to the dermatologist and a biopsy was done of my rash (rash was on chest, thighs but the biopsy was done from sample of the back) and it came back as folliculitis with yeast. The rash appeared 2 months after the encounter and originally my gp prescribed me mometasone furoate cream which i used alot. The rash subsided but did not entirely go away. Could using this cream made my folliculitis that was not diagnosed yet worse? I have read online that this type of rash is common
. I used protection for this encounter but this new diagnosis from the dermatologist scares me. My questions would be is folliculitis with yeast only associated with those who are hiv
+? How else could i have contracted this fungal infection? I have also been extremely stressed from this and have read just about everything on the internet about this. I know i have posted before but i would like some input on my questions. Thank you
