Doubts

hi doc i got my 12 week conclusive neg and yet i'm still having doubts. Is it possible for someone to take longer then 12 weeks to be detected? i see some of the people test out to 6 months or a year and that worries me a bit? Do human error ever happen while test and does false negatives happen?
Mind you i am going to see a psychiatrist this week because of these lingering doubts, i feel as though i should test again next year "just in case". The window period thing really *****.

the CURRENT guideline for a CONCLUSIVE test result is 3 months.  those that you read about who are testing out to a year or more, are doing so because of their inability to accept the FACTS regarding testing. (most of them have ocd or are hypochondriacs)

if you have a 12 week negative test result...you do NOT have hiv...period...no ifs, ands, or buts about it.

accept your status and move on with your life.

always use condoms for penetrative sex until you know the status of your partner.  sex lasts a few minutes...HIV LASTS A LIFETIME.

Good that you are seeking some help with your HIV anxiety, nobody tests positive after 12 weeks, most test positive earlier in fact.
