Dr HHH, PLEASE HELP. hiv due to giving handjob and symptoms

Dear all,

4 months ago I gave a latino man at a bar a hand job.I had cuticle cuts that stung at that time. It might have been a fresh cut. Not sure.

14 weeks later I went for a finger prick test and it came back negative.

I now have burning fingers on both hands, mild pain in the under arm. I have acidity and nausea like symptoms.I had mouth ulcers too.

Questions:
1. Is a finger prick test at 14 weeks reliable. Should I go for a lab test?

2. Why am I having these symptoms. Never had burning fingers before.

Please help. I'm having sleepless nights.

Last question. If someone has a risky exposure, are finger prick tests reliable?

No risk for sure; nobody ever gets HIV by hand-job. And anyway your test result proves you weren't infected and that something else is causing your symptoms. Accept it, believe it, and move one.

Doesn't matter, it's no risk no matter what the story is.

What if his semen fell on my hands? If you please dont mind me asking, could you please tell me if you are a nurse or a doctor?

And is the finger prick test accurate in general?

You never had a risk and never needed to test. Since you did it shows no risk.
