Duda de exámenes VIH

Estimado doctor:

Dear Doctor:

I had a contact with a prostitute risky in Colombia ... The condom broke and we did not realize, the last time we looked at the relationship ended and we realized it was broken perhaps spent a minute, maybe less, broke on one side and my penis salío virtually complete by the hole . This makes me doubt remains whether the condom was broken from before and do not notice. She informed me that it takes about three months working on the establishment and when he entered the exam and practiced it came back negative, is 22 years old.

I practice two HIV tests one at 21 days and one at 28 days of exposure, both tests have been negative, and although I know I should wait at least three months for a more reliable practicarme, nerves gnaw me (still missing 2 months) ... and I have no doubt.

I've noticed that the support and outreach on HIV issues in Spain is much higher than in Mexico, and tried to extrapolate ... but the lab in which I practiced the exam is limited to inform me that the method used is "chemiluminescence 3rd generation" and has no validity until the last practice a minimum of three months ... Digging a little more, I was informed that the p24 antigen is not part of that method using chemiluminescence, which honestly and despite two negative, let me very stressed.

My question is whether any method that negative 3rd generation at 28 days, may be encouraging, or if the odds of being HIV positive remain exactly the same .... as I understand that the p24 antigen is sought in the first weeks of a possible infection.

I think it is worth to mention that I have and the unrest of the "symptoms" I find, as I understand that the only way to validate or infection is escartar examination at 3 months. However I have noticed a little pain in the joints of the thumbs, and I have been two weeks ganglia under chin swollen and sore throat and mouth ... I also had a ulsera.

I hope I can guide a little over chemiluminescence methods ... Is there any kind of international standard?

Another thing that makes me very disheartened, is what happens if you contract the virus? Much is said about prevention and new medicines to help lead a "normal" life, but I have not seen the talk of coping Tando Case? Can never have sex? I think it's highly unethical sustain a relationship is knowing that portardor, but then what kind of life can be?
