ECLIA 4th generation 15 weeks post exposure negative but value too close to cut off

Hi All,

Please help me I had vaginal sex with a CSW 15 weeks back and the condom broke during the act, I realized this after ejaculating. I had elisa test at 5 weeks which was negative with observed value as 0.005 and the cut off was 0.4, another ELISA at 10 weeks which was negative with observed value as 0.031 and the cut off was 0.4 and the last test I took was ECLIA for HIV 1 & 2 which came back negative with a observed value as 0.56 and the cut off was 0.9 and anything greater then 1 is considered positive. They mentioned the ECLIA is a 4th Generation test. Now I am really worried as my latest value observed is 0.56 thru ECLIA method and the same value may be considered above the cut off (0.4) on the previous test I took which was ELISA. Yes I did change the Lab for testing my 15 weeks sample and it was a different method as well (ECLIA). Please help me as I am not able to focus on my work and day to day life thinking that I am turning positive and information online on 6 months window period does not help either. I didn’t show any symptoms of ARS but recently I have a rash kind of thing on my penis head which doesn’t itch or pain. Please help me with my test results and the values? Am I seroconverting and may turn positive after 6 months? Can I move on with my ECLIA 4th Gen negative with a value of 0.56 15 weeks post exposure? Thanks a lot

Thanks Lizzie,

but wat about the values and the ECLIA method?? Is ECLIA method reliable after 3 months. I consulted a doc and he also told me that the window period is 6 months and there is lots of stuff on internet which says 6 months window period. Please comment.
