ER Nurse Exposed a Month Ago - So Much Anxiety

I was working in the ER a month ago and got a splash in the eye from an HIV and HEP C positive patient.  I am not sure if the splash was just IV fluids or could have had a small amount of blood in it.  I was started on PEP within 3 hours and took my last dose today.  I am unbelievably worried because I have been sick since Saturday with diarrhea and a fever between 99.4 - 100.4.  I spoke with my infectious disease doctor and he feels it is not related.  He stands firm on waiting for the 6 week hiv and hep c test.  Should I go to the health department and get free testing sooner?  Are the results accurate before six weeks?

Go by what your protocal is where you work. Why would you go to the health department when you can get a free test at your employment?

My work won't test until 6 weeks - I am just wondering if I could test sooner reliably.
