EVERYONE WHO IS WORRIED READ THIS

I have been posting here for a while now, with many symptoms, and many risks. I have had hard-core symptoms that come and go for so long now. All the symptoms that you talk about here I've been through at one time or another. Symptoms say NOTHING about HIV infection. The "symptoms" you feel, are unrelated to HIV and are mostly caused and brought on by anxiety. The more you read about symptoms, the more your body tricks you into having them. Anyway, where this random message comes from, is that I just got my results today and I am NEGATIVE. I was absolutely convinced I was positive for a long time now. Don't worry yourself, stop feeling lymph nodes, and get tested. Good luck to everyone ! I will never forget everyone that has alleviated my anxiety on this forum.

The posterior cervical gland is still slightly sore, it hasnt gone yet, been 3 months. It was marble size for about 4 days, 3 months ago. went down, up again a month later. I have Never Had gland swelling before. I read 75% of ARS victims get it. I had other ones under jaw, clavicular, armpit.
Most Have disappeared or not Painful, only Neck one is Still lingering. I Think it may never go back to original size. Naturally I put 2 + 2 together. However Tests Prove I'm negative. However glands can stay up for several months after viral infections, If it reoccurs or gets Large again I would panic, however touch wood its staying down. I dont care what virus it is as long it's not destroying my cd4 cells leading to Aids.  It has to be a coincidence. Only time will tell I guess

Congrats!!! I agree, symptoms can be tricky. Especially if you know people that have a strong will, if they put their mind to something, they get it? Well, if you keep focusing on swollen lymph nodes, you WILL GET THEM! I know its crazy.

Do you still have these swollen glands? Have to say it is one of the worst symptoms I have experienced too. They are there for months and not much improvements. I don't buy anxiety can give you that.

Had Pharyngititis, Cough, Swollen gland......waited, got tested, I thought I was okay after my 13 week test, THEN, started to get generalized swollen glands, EXTREME fatigue, oral ulcers and spots for 2 months. 1000% convinced I had hiv, no joke. tested negative at 23/24 weeks.
6 months now, only now I feel 80% normal. Only Painless spots and mildly swollen glands now. If I did get aids, I will Have proven 13 Dr's, including 5 Hiv Experts and like 5 Hiv Tests inc Duo/Pcr/Antibody Wrong.......Go Figure! what are the chances? Lymph glands dont swell due to anxiety alone. The rest, of course! Hard to believe, It was co-incidence, some virus, extreme stress just prolonged it and battered my immune system and made things 100x worse.
If I'm Negative, with maximum expose, + symptoms, Hang in there!!!!!!!!!

so There is hope!
I just want to enjoy my life

This post helps me a lot, considering I'm looking at 7 weeks since possible exposure and still experiencing symptoms.  From everything else I've read in the forums it appears that the symptoms would have come and gone by now and they wouldn't be so sporadic.  My symptoms are occasional neuropathy in the arms, very light rash on my forearms and a mild sore throat, otherwise I've never had fever or swollen lymph nodes.  My exposure was low risk (received unprotected oral from a sex worker) but yet in my mind I'm convinced I could still have HIV.  My doctor says I do not have HIV, she chalks it up to anxiety and my EIA test at 20 days was negative and just took a second test yesterday at 7 weeks.  In my rational logical mind I know that I don't have HIV but the stress and anxiety seem to exacerbate the symptoms that do exist, still leaving doubt.  The mind is certainly a powerful thing and that goes for both the positive and negative.  Is anyone else going through something similar to this, feeling as though they are the one out of a million who is going to have HIV after a low to zero risk exposure, experiencing highs and lows over the past few months, feeling like you've wasted the last few months worrying and does anyone else have these symptoms this far out and attribute them to anxiety over the situation?

I feel that the symptoms that some people experience, such as yourself could be caused by a lot of different things other than anxiety. It seems that what you and your parter are going through must be contagious if they have the same symptoms now. I'm really curious as to what that is, when you get the results and figure it out you should message me on here. I've taken a huge interest in these subjects after becoming a part of this forum. Every night, I do research on HIV and read almost every new post here. I would actually love to someday help others with this, and be regarded as someone like Teak here. After recieving help here, and having many panic attacks stopped, I would really enjoy giving back to others in the future. When id you, or have you got tested for HIV ?

i am in the same boat. I bought the anxiety option until I got major fatigue, frequent facial rah, sore throat, swollen glands etc... It is an A_Z of symptoms, and despite many people saying you are low risk and symptoms are probably unrelated, i have all syptoms and they are driving me crazy. My partner then started with same rash, fever, sleepless nights etc... and she doesnt know about my anxiety - so that was when I kicked anxiety into touch. My symtoms have gone on for over 4 weeks now but glands only swelled this week, seems like I get one thing, then another, and so on. Its killling me and I just hop eall comes back clean - and its a matter of working out exactly what i have caught
