Early HIV Symptoms

Also, curious, many people on the board report early symptoms of HIV infection: fever, sore throat, aches and pains, diarrhea, and fatigue.

However, a majority of these people have already tested negative - or return to the forum and report that they have tested negative. How likely is stress/guilt likely to cause symptoms that mimic those of an HIV sero-conversion?

Also, I noticed one of the doctors remarked that sero-conversion almost never occurs without the presence of a fever. How high and long lasting is this fever? Is it mild, or quite marked?
