Eczema cream and HIV test

Eczema cream and HIV test

Hi, would taken an antimicrobial emollient and moisturiser for dry skin affect my tests? I apply the cream to my hands only, sometimes with open cuts. It is called Dermol 500. I didn't take it for a few weeks before my last test.

I took another test after my insti which was a negative rapid DUO at 83 days and 12 hours.

Even I can see it happening (my anxiety). I am going to the doctors to talk about my anxiety with him/her. The cream obviously does not affect the tests though? (Just to get me by until I see the doctor)

No medication or medical condition apart from chemotherapy or being on PEP can interfere with HIV testing. Your fears are irrational and it's clearly seen from your post that you are suffering from OCD. From a very neutral perspective, HIV is not your problem any more since you have tested at the right time frame and fared a definitive result. However, OCD is your problem now. Keep working with your doctor, you should be fine.
