Exotic Massage

Hi Doctor,
I went to Massage Parlor two weeks ago in Canada. During the massage, the girl rubbed my penis (no condom) with her pubic hairs area (not her genital) but No any sexual intercourse.
Could the HIV transmit in this way? Or what other STDs could transmit this way?

I have been having a mild fever since 3 days ago (around 37-37.5 C during the day and back to normal to 36.8 C around 11pm) I know someone says that the range between 37-37.5 C is still counted as normal but I really feel the difference as my usual normal temperature is only 36.8 C or 0.1 to 0.2 below during the day.
So my question is the fever that associates with the ARS is high grade fever or could be mild fever and will the fever come and gone or continuous through out the day?

Also, I had another sexual encounter that was condom protected vaginal intercourse about 9 weeks ago.
Could the ARS happen 8 weeks after the sexual encounter?

Thank You Very Much For Your Help!

The encounter you describe falls into the category of massage.  Your exposure is zero risk.  You did not penetrate her in any way and your exposure to her secretions was minimal.  Masturbation which is safe sex.  No risk you you for acquisition of HIV or any other STD.  Please realize that in the course of masturbation miniscule amounts of genital secretions are inadvertently shared between partner, nonetheless there are no HIV transmissions which have occurred in this way.

Regarding your "fever", while there is person to person variation in their temperatures, your temperatures would not be considered fever by most health care professionals.  Irrespective, fever, like other symptoms of the ARS are TOTALLY non-specific and when people experience "ARS symptoms" they are much more likely to have something else, usually some other, more typical virus infection.  When this has been studied in the US, less than 1% of persons seeking medical care for "ARS symptoms" are found to have HIV, the remainder having symptoms due to other processes.  In addition, it is also important to realize that many person who acquire HIV do not experience the ARS.  For a person to try to judge their HIV risk based on "ARS symptoms" is a waste of time.

Finally, regarding the condom protected encounter you describe, I would not worry either.  Condoms work.

Thus, to summarize, you have nothing to worry about.  No concern (or testing) is warranted.  Hope this helps.  EWH
