  America is not exactly the belle of the ball once you leave your country (if you ever have) you will find this out very quickly. We have many Americans turning there backs on their own country to live here so.... Seems like a the trendis when the going gets tuff, the Americans get going. The same is being said by my friends and family abroad, so lets not gloat about statehood my friend, your dropping bombs on women and children as we speak over phantom terrorists...Extremestress you really come off as an the stereotype of the loud  American a$$.....i don't get you or why your even on here. I love America and Americans, i have two uncles in the American services (one Army/ one Navy). Most foriegners like myself just don't like American policy. Let's net get political on here though, and for the record, nobody said $hit when Canadian bashing was taking place on this forum, not a one...what does that say?

If you listen to the soldiers on the ground fighting, they will tell you Americans can not solve this situation, only exsasparate things. Now with the way things are, you do need to be there (Pakistan)...

I relate with your fears...I am experiencing a scare myself and even though the tests have all come out negative I still don't believe them...don't know why.  The only answer I can give, if in fact I am negative, is OCD (regarding myself, which I do have). Also, I do agree, we Americans tend to think too highly of ourselves and put our nose where it doesn't belong.  Don't get me wrong, I love my country but I have been to other parts of the world and I have friends and family at war, so I will never turn my back but I realise why we are not well liked around the world. We are good people, but politics and money make it seem otherwise.

I was in the military up until sep of 2005, i have been to Iraq, Afghanistan, germany, london, greece, and I am as we speak living in russia (for over a year). I will tell you this. As far as convenience and rights and way of life. Nothing tops America. I have been bombed over 270 times, i missed death twice just by being lucky. The Americans you got fleeing there is sad. American soldiers running from their duty (which they volunteered for). I would understand if it was a draft, but these people volunteered and are running. As far as me saying the canadian joke. It was a JOKE! Grow up.You will also see I joked about america next. I have a bunch of jokes of all nationalities to include Americans. So when you say live abroad I have and AM. my wife is currently pregnant (living in the US) and I have to work over here, just to support us. here is a compliment towards your country. I pay 725usd a month for medical insurance, not counting what comes out of my taxes towards medicaid which I am not entitled too. I am here because I worried like you and I try to help some get over it. I do become sarcastic to those who don't let go, because most need that to realize.

You were the instigator my friend, so you grow up as well and then we can both let it go, we both take pride in our country, so leave out the Canadian wise cracks and were good...you've teased me to no end on here and yet you are also worried about hiv. Russia is ranking up there with some of the other counties with the highest rates of new infections, be careful not to step out on your wife and you will be good my friend. I am still not instigating. I am letting you know, that I don't care what country you are from. Jokes are Jokes. If you were french, I would have siad something about french. It was a joke to make light of a fearful person, who really needs to enjoy life. Laugh, read a book (not about HIV) have some tea, coffee, beer. something enjoy life. I'm not worried about HIV, I was worried about HIV. FOR NO REASON. you are correct about increasing infection. Its due to a growing economy, leaving the middle class/poor behind. alot have went to heroin, and needles, and suicide. sexual transmission is still low in comparison.

Okay- truce..i love Russians, when i was in school i made friends with a Russian kid who defected with his family over here. He was a damn good hockey player too man..I can see how you were tempted ExtremeStress, those Russian women are incredible...stay safe and thanks for the pep talk.
