If you believe you have been exposed to HIV and want help to judge your risk, would like advice about HIV testing, or have questions about the effectiveness of condoms or risks associated with specific sexual practices, this is the site for you.
I have tested again with quick ClearView after 6 weeks of exposure and got NEGATIVE result, I have been tested with ELISAElisa Elisa/western blot tests for hiv Lyme disease antibody and was POSITIVE, but it was confirm with Wb and came negative.
I never thought that this can happen to get False-Positive, but it did to me. I will test again after 6 weeks for my conclusive.
Congratulations. Really encouraging to know that your WB was negative. Yes, good idea to get tested again at 6 and 12 weeks, just in case. An antibody test at 12 weeks is always a good idea, just to be 100% sure. Still, the variety of other tests you took other than ELISAElisa Elisa/western blot tests for hiv Lyme disease antibody, all of which said you don't have HIV, are very, very encouraging.
Everyone who has said that you are not confirmed to have HIV until you have a positive WB confirming a positive antibody test is absolutely right. A positive ELISAElisa Elisa/western blot tests for hiv Lyme disease antibody with negative WB is a negative result.
Just want to update you with my latest result, after i got POSITIVE ELISA and NEGATIVE Wb, i took the ELISA test again at the same lab, the result came back today morning NEGATIVE. I just did that to see it the POSITIVE result was something from me (medications, diet..etc) or it is a lab error, and it seems it was a lab error since the second ELISA came back NEGATIVE. Just want to share that with you so you.
I will test again for 3 month conclusive.
Thanks
