False negative?

I've read that sometimes an autoimmune disorder (disease) can casuse false positive when testing for HIV.  Can it also cause false negative?

Also, Should someone with autoimmune disorder wait longer to test or the three months is still considered conclusive.

No.  Only a VERRRRRY few, rare things can cause seroconversion to take longer....terminal illnesses, very aggressive chemotherapy, anti-rejection meds post organ transplants...and even these things are up for discussion.  A lot of well respected MD's do not believe that these things even cause a significant difference.

But, in a nutshell...the 3 month window period applies to everyone.
