Female HIV risk

Hello!

I and a 22 year old female and have unprotected sex with a white American male I met in a bar about a month ago. (Please try to avoid lecturing me about the moral issues about this... IT WAS A BAD IDEA, I KNOW)

I felt completely fine but I sort of feel like I am having symptoms characteristic of acute HIV now... most have past after a couple of days. The symptoms I had are:

- Swollen lymph nodes in the back of neck
- fever/chills
- chest pain
- headache
- thrush

I know I can't get tested but could someone tell me what my risks are? Is there anything else I should look for? What can I do in the mean time?

hiv is not diagnosed by symptoms.

the odds of this guy having hiv are pretty slim...most ppl dont.

with that being said...you will need to test to know your status.  6-8 weeks post exposure will give you a good indication of your status...3 months is conclusive.
