Fever within an hour after sex with hooker with one condom

I got a fever within an hour after had a sex with hooker (My bad used 1 condom). After 2days I consulted a doctor and did complete blood work. He prescribed me to take Truvada 1tab and Raltegravir 2tabs daily as PEP safer side beacause of my anxiety. Its been 6days now still struggling with fever and recently my both palm started burning. Not sure its because of medicine which I'm taking or I'm already with infected HIV.  Also, may be will get my blood test results in another 2 days.   But please help me to understand my situation as its driving me crazy. Also, how accurate my blood test results will be if its come -ve.

We don't know why you have a fever, but it clearly isn't related to the conditions you've been tested for.  Fevers occur with all sorts of things, including cold and flu.  Your doctor would probably be able to tell you.

Thanks for your reply. I have some more doubt like -  I used 1 condom for oral and vaginal, my bad as this was my first time sex with hooker and at the end it was loose.
I'm thinking this may be the main reasons for my symptoms. Also, I was not prepared for vaginal sex  as I wanted to have only oral but she said its safe. My GOD I did a big sin in my life.
Still I'm having a fever between 98.5 to 99.5 F. Its now 12th day, kindly let me know if its related to HIV symptoms or my PEP medicine?

Hi there.  Your fever is something you should have a physician evaluate you for but it is not related to HIV.  We're now going to close this thread and hope you feel better soon.

You NEVER had a risk for HIV, you did NOT need to test and you sure did NOT need to be put on PEP. Your fever had absolutely NOTHING to do with HIV. See your doctor if you still have a fever and if your palms are still burning. But I'd sure advise you see a different doctor......... And for the record, wearing two condoms is a VERY bad idea! It does NOT make the sex safer..........just the opposite. The added friction of two condoms rubbing together is more likely to cause them to BOTH fail. Your doctor should have explained, in detail, the testing protocols for someone taking PEP. If you have access to an HIV Clinic, I strongly advise speaking with a counselor for advice.
