Hi I am a 20 year old male, about 4.5 weeks ago I had my first encounter with a gay guy of unknown status, I was drunk,
We kissed, I gave him protected oral and then recieved unprotected oral for 1-2minutes, he then rimmed me for another period of time maybe 5-10 minutes.
Ever since I have been driving myself crazy with worry that I have contracted all the symptoms,
Rash under my right arm at 4 weeks which lasted little over 12 hours, mouth ulcers and a coldsore at 3-4 weeks ( although i might note I get these occasionally when run down/stressed..
I havent been eating properly or concentration on my daily life because I am so worried, I had a 4 week test waiting on the results, doc seem to assure me, but im convinced I'll be a rare case of gettting HIV
Thank you Lizzie Lou,
I might mention I had a small mouth ulcer at the time, which had been there about 2 weeks, the doctor said that it would have started to heal but I am unsure,
Also my anal area bleeds from time to time from using toilet paper,
this has me extremely worried!
Kissing, unprotected oral sex and rimming are zero risk activities for Hiv transmission and therefore you need not worry about this situation anymore and no testing is required either.Your symptoms are not related to Hiv but testing for other more common STD's might be a good idea. All the best.
Earlier I discovered a dark browny mould like rash on my fingers and hand there is about 7 spots of it.. I cant help but worry and feel I have HIV, all the signs are pointing towards it, tomorrow I will visit the doctor but can any1 shed light on this rash? I though it was dirt at first but tried to wash it off and its not!!
Dear RainlLover71,
In no way do I mean to undermine your judgement but I have never had a rash like this before why 4 and a bit weeks after would this just show up? Also I have never had a sore throat for going on three weeks, other sites say it is possible to catch HIV from the acts I was involved in.
Any Opinion on that it would be appreciated..
I never suggested you undermined my opinion and those sites are wrong in their views and opinions.Transmission has never taken place from the activities you engaged in and certainly there has never been any substantiated cases recorded, therefore it would be fair to say that your symptoms are not in anyway related to HIV.The doctors in our expert forum would tell you no risk aswell. You know the modes of HIV transmission and you didn't engage in any such activities.
You did not have a risk at all. The only risk for HIV would be unprotected anal sex, which you did not have.
As a gay man starting to experience different partners, just remember that you should always insist on condoms (with plenty of lubrication) for each and every episode of anal sex.
You can enjoy other activities (oral, rimming, frottage, etc) without an HIV worry, however there are other STD's that will be a concern with the above acts. Mutual testing for all STDs is a good practice to get into before engaging in these kinds of sexual experiences.
You can stop testing now because you never had a risk and any test you take for this encounter will be negative.Save your time and money.Stop being a worrywell and move on with your life.
