Is it common for ARS symtoms to start in the 6th week?  I feel like I am coming down with a flu virus and it has been 45 days since my exposure. (Brief inserted vaginal intercourse.)  I am really starting to freak out and plan to get test tomorrow or Monday.  Any response would be extremely welcome.

2 - 3 weeks, maybe out to four, is the time you might see ARS.  Six weeks is too far out from exposure.  regular old flu bugs are going around (after all, it IS february) and that is what you have got

Would you know if you had a fever?  I guess I could have had this symptom start ealier and just not have noticed it.  Today I have been going between hot and cold but nothing ot the extreme (no shivering and no heavy sweating).  I also keep waking up sweaty.  It's mostly my chest and neck and my pillows, blankets, and sheets are only sometimes damp.  Is this not indicative of fever, or do I need to sweat more?

Six weeks is way beyond the time for ARS. What you are probably getting is just that, the flu.
