Foot Scrub

Foot Scrub

This question may seem silly to some:

I went for a pedicure over the weekend and was the first appointment of the day.  All of the metal instruments are sterilized; however, the foot brushes that they used to scrub the feet are simply cleaned with soap and warm water between customers.  The next day I realized I had an abrasion on my foot.  Is it possible if there was previous blood on the brush that it could have infected me this way?  Or does the virus die from the soap and water between uses.  I am a bit worried.  Thanks :)

Sorry if I am being a bother, but the CDC wasn't too reassuring. I've been very nervous.
