so this is my math:

Let's assume the total HIV/AIDS population in the US is 850,000

45 % are Gays

Hence, (55 %) 467,500 = non-gay population

Out of the 467,500

48 % = blacks = 224,400
19% = hispanics = 88,825
30 % = white = 140,250
3 % = asian = 14,025 (the estimated # is 1 % but I am being conservative)

Now, the estimated # of infected asians = 14,025

Let's say 50 % are women (the estimated # is 20 %)

Hence the # of women = 7,000

Now this 7000 = ppl with HIV and AIDS.

Assuming the ppl with AIDS are not sexually active we can bring this # down to 5000 (again I am being very conservative)


Now out of this 5000 lets say 50 % are CSW's

Hence the # of CSWs = 2500

Not all 2500 work in the same state....so the possibility in Asians is very low...

You are totally right. You can't look at someone and know their status. It doesn't matter what ethnic group they belong to, only testing at the proper time will tell.
