Freaked Out - Just like everyone else

Hi,

From what I have read and researched (which has been a metric sh$t load) I believe I had a low risk exposure.  The only problem is I can not remember said exposure.  Without to many details, drunk, European Country, strip bar, back room, condom, fingers in vagina and licked my fingers.  Two weeks later developed one single white spot on back of tonsil (still there today, which is almost six weeks). Since then a myriad of issues, inflamed taste buds, cobblestones on soft palate, mild sore throat, night sweats (localized to groin and neck), diarrhea since exposure (still ongoing), small mouth ulcers (also just quit chewing tobacco), and now I have a rash on my head (although I do shave my head bald, and it could just be irritated, but my rational self is not here right now), and rash around groin (which I thought was jock itch, but now I am not so sure)

Is this my mind and anxiety getting the best of me? I have been on a roller coaster of emotions and I feel like I let everyone in my life down right now :(.  This is definitely the lowest part of my life.

Did an STD panel, everything came back negative, still waiting on the big one :(.

Davy, I had thirteen symptoms, my girlfriend and ex girlfriend also had symptoms, I was a mess... I now understand that symptoms do not diagnose HIV, your test result will be Negative from what you have decribed in detail, you really are okay.

Your symtoms don't resmeble anything close to a cute HIV infection either, you are okay buddy!

Best Wishes

James

Struggling tonight, I open my mouth and notice a huge canker sore on my soft palate. :(.  I am trying to tell myself it's stress but I am struggling something fierce from going off the deep end.  Any advice words of encouragement?

What is the obsession with looking up symptoms? At times I convince myself it's just guilt and I need to move on, but other times I feel crippled by the fear and every little itch and bump I find.  I probably stressed myself out so much and that is why my tongue and mouth are on the fritz, at least I pray.  Thanks for just letting me vent for a few.

I am going to talk to someone about my anxiety, I probably should of weaned myself off the chewing tobacco, I think that might of magnified everything, I hope.

Anyhow, thank you for giving us worry wells a place to worry.

Davy..take a breath. Relax. You had some fun in the Champagne Room. Sounds like you had an awesome time. I'm a little jealous. Let's try to keep some things in perspective. First, you used a condom. At least you vaguely remember using it. The good thing is the CSW you were with more than likely ensured it was used. Remember,  they use condoms to protect themselves, not their clients. This is a good indication that this particular person practices safe sex and greatly reduces the chance she was HIV+. And the odds are she did not.
Second, HIV transmission from female to male through a one-time unprotected vaginal encounter is exceedingly unlikely. The odds of a healthy male contracting HIV through vaginal sex from a female of unknown status is 1 in a 1,000,000. You, literally, have better odds of getting struck by lightening.
As long as you consistently practice safe sex with all your partners, I would fully expect your "big one" to come back negative.
