Frottage, Oral and PEP

Hi,

I'm hoping someone could help out with the following.

I recently gave someone unprotected oral sex for at most 60 seconds as well as frottage where the person rubbed their penis on my anus (I'm pretty sure this was with a condom although I'm not 100%). There was no ejaculation, and definitley no penetration.

The same day late the next day I went to the emergency room and was given PEP, which I completed.

Since then I've had various bumps over my body but nothing that I would say seems consistent with what ARS usually is.

I've had a test 7 days after finishing pep and that came back negative. Should I carry on testing or can I now forget this chapter of my life and get on with things?

Also, has anyone ever seen someone turn positive through anything similar??

Thank you
MH

I meant to say astronomically "LOW"...

"oral sex is in fact a risk" - That statement is not completely accurate. Oral sex is considered by some (such as the CDC) a "theoretical" risk. Just like theoretically I could be killed by a flaming unicorn crashing through the roof of my house, or that one day Justin Bieber will become President of the US. Both as unlikely as you getting HIV from oral sex. The odds of HIV transmission through oral sex are so astronomically high that is is widely considered a no risk encounter.

Thank you for your reply. I'm sure you probably see questions like this all the time and I don't want to be frustrating but I've done a lot of research and it does seem like oral sex is in fact a risk, or is that because most government statistics are cautious?

Have either of you ever seen anyone become positive after similar to what I've described?

Thanks

Pep is for those that have been exposed to a hiv proven positive person through unprotected anal/vaginal sex.  What you experienced is not any risk for contacting hiv.

You had no risk and should not have been given PEP.
