Fungal Infection?

I had a really small risk for HIV infection...exactly three months later, I got a cutaneous (skin) fungal infection, and I've never had it before.  I also don't know anyone who had one, and it was in my buttcrackm so I don't know why I would get it.  My doctor treated it and wasn't concerned, but I was just wondering if this could be due to HIV infection.  I was tested about four months ago, but I gave a guy oral sex exactly three months before the fungal infection.

its not related to HIV, and bsed on what ive read on your thread  your risk is Virtually 0, i never discourage people to take a test. Get a 20 minute Rapid test and collect your negative result i strongly believe it will.

Yes, fungual infections are common with people who are HIV positive. It is not however a symptom of early HIV infection.

Ok, so it wouldn't be a symptom this early? Like I said, I had a negative test about four months ago, and my only low risk encounter was just over three months ago.

We're talking years here, not months and we're not talking about anyone with a high CD4 count. We are talking low CD4 counts. I don't see that you have a concern about HIV even if the person was HIV positive. Have you ever had ring worm or athletes feet? Those are both fungus infections and as you know you don't have to have HIV to contract them.
