Will HIV show up on a gallium scan? If so what would it look like?

Hmm well about 6 months ago I started having strange sensations in my genital area and after about a month- 2 month period it went away at the time I didn’t suspect anything to serious but I went to my doctor and I’ve been doing blood test and what not ever since, I just had a gallium scan done because my lymph nodes in my groin have been swollen for the last 4 months. And my doctor wanted to see if it was body wide or just isolated in one area, I’m still waiting the results and should get them next week. I’m not quite sure what to think anymore because I haven’t the faintest clue what I have and I was hoping to narrow down the list starting from the biggest problem.  Any suggestions my doctor seems to think viral but other than HIV or herpes, what types of viruses last long then a few weeks?
