Gastrointestinal and HIV

I am suffering from laryngiopharyngeal reflux (LPR) disease for  4 months. I can't face hiv test and it gives me lot of anxiety. I had Mono like illness 5 weeks after sexual exposure. I am going to try and test though I just have a quick question about my symptom timeline and if this illness Iv been diagnosed with. Is silent reflux a sign and symptom of HIV?  I red this http://www.medhelp.org/posts/HIV-Prevention/Am-i-hiv-positive-/show/1903817 but it doesn't give an accurate answer at all.

People like myself will be looking through the archives and would like an accurate answer if possible please or people might just keep asking this over and over rather than using the search option.

NO.

What causes LPR?

LPR is caused by stomach acid that bubbles up into the throat as a result of GERD. Fortunately, most causes do not require medical care. They can be managed with lifestyle changes. To decrease your chance of LPR:

Do NOT:
Eat acidic, spicy, and fatty foods
Drink alcohol
Smoke tobacco
Drink caffeine-containing beverages (tea, coffee, soda, etc.)
Eat chocolate
Eat mint or mint-flavored foods
Wear tight or binding clothing
Become overly stressed – learn tools to help manage or reduce stress levels

DO:
Maintain a healthy weight
Avoid eating less than 2 hours before bedtime

Who gets LPR?

Anyone can get LPR, but it shows up more often as people age. People who have certain dietary habits, people who consistently wear tighter fitting or binding clothing, people who are overweight, and people who are overstressed are more likely to have laryngopharyngeal reflux.
