I have a question about the different "Generations" of tests. As most of you know by now, the Massachusetts Dept. of Health has taken the stance that 6 weeks is a conclusive window period for detecting HIV
From what I understand, this window period only relates to 3rd and 4th Generation Tests. I just recently had an AraQuick Advanced Test done at 5 1/2 weeks. Does anyone know what generation the OraQuick Advance Test falls into? Thanks.
Well, then I guess I'll get another one on Monday. I'm freaking out pretty big time tough. The trouble is, I don't know if I will find relief in the 6 week test. I know Dr. HHH backs the 6 weeks, and now the Mass Dept of Health backs the 6 weeks, but I also know that other agencies disagree.
I mean, I believe that Dr. HHH and Mass are right in their assessment. I really do. It's just the mere fact that there is disagreement over the overarching concern in my life is hard to swallow. I must say though, this recent news about the Mass Dept of Health backing the 6 week window was a big boost to my mood.
Anyway, wish me luck. And good luck to all you guys.
