thank you very much for your help. and honestly guys the fact that you spend your time helping people is really commendable. i never realized what a stressful situation this could be. like i said before taking sniper fire on the side of an afghan mountain is nothing compared to worry about getting this infection.
lastly. and again i apologize if I'm annoying, a 10 week oraquick… i know by the cdc standard it is not conclusive… and i won't hold anyone to a estimate, but how informative is that. with a negative EIA at 4 weeks swell
Although geographic tongue may look alarming, it doesn't cause health problems and isn't associated with infection or cancer.
No it's not,if one gets them the 3 most common symptoms are very high fevers, body rash & very painful, sore throat.
No geo tongue is not linked to HIV.
would that cause geographic tongue. LIke i said a army medic told me that geo tongue is associated with fissured tongue which have had for as long as i can remember. but is HCV or HIV related to geo tongue.
Very high fevers are the most common symptom if one has had a real risk & even then not all people infected will get them. You never had an HIV risk but you can't rule out the HCV.
i understand that… that being said is geo tongue related in anyway shape or form to HVI
This isn't the forum. This forum is HIV specific and Geo Tongue is not HIV specific.
I understand that sir, and i don't want to be difficult but can you give an insight on the tests and the geo tongue
You weren't infused with anything. You never had an exposure.
i realize I'm being vague but i can't give to much info in reference to the exact situation, all i can say… i was pricked in the thigh by a hypodermic needle which appeared to have blood in it.
one of the guys that was with us looked at the needle it appeared to have blood in it. LIke i said i was informed the chances are very small and i appreciated your reassurance. i would just like if you could give me insight on the geo tongue and the efficacy of the tests at the op time frames.
Nah, let's not just say. You never had an exposure.
you seem to be very knowledgeable on this topic and i commend you for giving people insight in times like this. I took sniper fire in Afghanistan and it wasn't as stressful as worry about this stupid virus. SO having insight from popele that know the topic would ease my mind
lets just say we were inclined to stop and check the guy afterwards.
medic say the chances are not very high. but the timing go me noticing the geo tongue seems to be too coincidently. 4 years in the military so i not much of a believer in coincidence. If you could provide intel on the geo tongue and if its an indicator of anything, and the info from the tests i was able to take. I should be back in the US in about a month which will make 4 months and am gonna have a doc do a EIA, but i wanted to know how much confidence there is in a 4 week non reactive EIA, and a 10 week oraquick.
And you know that he had a hypodermic needle in his pocket how? presuming that he did. You never had an exposure from a needle prick. You hand nothing infused into you.
someone bumped into me. i felt a stick and the guy had a hypodermic needle in his pocket
How did you get stuck with a needle?
for those of you that say it is stress…you may be right… however i have been on 3 combat deployments, this being a fourth, and never noticed it before. Not to say it was never there before i have had a fissured tongue for as long as i can remember. I would like to know.
