. This was my first time ever doing anything with anyone. About 1 and a half months later I went to the doctor to get a sports physical and the doctor said a lymph node
that this may be a sign of HIV. This is my only sign of the disease. I can feel the lymph nodes in my armpit as well. I don't know if those are swollen though. But i can feel them. I've heard that it is difficult to obtain HIV, especially through oral. Can someone please help me. I'm freakin out here.
You were not at risk of contracting HIV from getting a blowjob and no your swollen lymph nodes by themselves are NOT indicative of HIV. You were not at risk of contracting HIV from getting a blowjob and no your swollen lymph nodes by themself are NOT indictative of HIV.
Thanks for the reply. But I failed to mention that I was the one giving the oral sex. It was about two months ago from this day and the lymph node in my groin is about the size of a pen tip. Its also kind of hard. I think node in my right armpit is swollen as well. there was no intercourse and he did not orgasm in my mouth. there was only pre-ejaculate. I haven't been sick or anything like that. Only my lymph nodes. I'm so worried. I've heard of people getting HIV through oral. My lymp node has been swollen for about a month as well. I thought they go back to normal size after a couple weeks. Thanks for the replies, im just really scared
dont worry , even if you are the receptive partner that is u had given oral sex you re chances are very very low . mostly , if u get blow job only once . iam 100 % sure if u get tested in 6 weeks ur test will be nagative and u r negative ok . dont worry
Thanks for the reply, but how do do you explain my swollen lymph nodes. they are painless, kind of hard and about the size of a pea in my groin. i just started noticing it. its been about two months since i hooked up with him.
I read somewhere once that you shouldn't go looking for swollen lymph nodes on your body - because you will find them and start needlessly worrying. I don't think that lymph nodes about the size of a pea are necessarily swollen. And I know from past experience, that lymph nodes will swell up due to a number of reasons - fighting any type of infection - and sometimes they don't go down properly for quite a while. I once had once removed for a biopsy and it turned out to be nothing. But that lymph node was more like the size of a quarter. The doctor thought I was crazy for worrying so much, so he took it out. I was more worried about cancer though.
