HIV - Breast Milk Exposure

by Break, Jul 23, 2007 08:48PM
Hi guys,
I really need clarification on this question. I poured over the net and could'nt get much info. I recently had protected sex with a sex worker in Mexico(dumb thing to do), she said she was lactating and she confirmed it by sqeezing her **** till some milk droplets came out and she wiped them off. I then kissed on her body, but not the breasts. If assumingly she was  HIV +ve, what are the chances that the breast milk particles would enter my system and I become infected. Do I warrant any HIV testing to be safe? Please advise.
- Thanks

I'm not an expert like Teak but I know this much: you didn't drink the milk nor did it hit any open wound, so the likelihood is zero.  Granted that breast milk contains HIV, you must swallow a LOT of it to get infected.

No I did not drink any milk droplets. But I realized later that I had a bad sore throat that day. So guess my inner mouth mucus membrane was delicate, sore and red. So do you think this would have made a easy entry for HIV? Please let me know?

Even if you had a sore throat, there was no exposure to the milk.

Even if you drink a mouthfull milk then also you wont get hiv.Because it contain less % virus.

Yes child get it from mother by drinking milk but not from one or tw time drinking.
A child will have to drink it for few months to get infected ( atleast 6 months)

So dont worry

Teak will say the same thing.  I know it's hard not to worry but if you don't try then it'll be the worry that will kill you.

You were never at risk, even if you did suck on her nipples and get milk.
