Well hopefully Fridays test will confirm as feeling awful at moment my oral thrush is getting worse not better and fatigue and night sweats and sweating more during day just wont go away.
Just can''t help but feel result is going to be positive as the symptoms have all been there etc.... and no other explanation for them!
If you do have sex unprotected is there a 1 in a % chance of passing it on statistics does anyone know?
you not positive .... if you infected (which you not ) at any time you could infect another , from day 1 !
Sorry one further question if positive how long does it take before you can pass on to someone else?
Thanks Teak, booked in GUM Clinic for Friday now so will have to see how I get on - will keep people updated.
Mike,
Thanks for your reassurance, I'm trying to move on however everytime I do something happens as I say the latest being getting oral thrush/candida for no reason which ends up taking me back to the same place hence the question about whether it is worth having the 90 day test at 85 days so I can move on and hopefully enjoy my holiday or is it better to have after 90 days when I return (not sure if there is a tolerance if that makes sense).
All,
Finally is there any difference in the 90 day test which GUM clinics do and the one that private clinics offer as I would prefer to know quicker hence the private clinic but not sure if they are the same or not?
Dave
Conclusive - That's all we can tell you. I don't think any one here in the forum would do the stats. I personally never would, I have said this time and again, statistics are just like those micro skirts, they reveal more than what they hide.
You have conclusively tested negative and that's the end of the story, you don't have it.
Please move on.
Does anyone know what the % accuracy of the 90 day test would be if I had it at 85 days?
Hoping I'm okay just can't believe I now have Oral Thrush and no real reason to have it which links me back to HIV - god it kills you this just want to know for definite one way or the other now...
my exwife tested negative after 3 and a half months after the last time we had unprotected sex after my no - risk exposure ... Be cool u negative ...
Just been doctors this morning who thinks I have Oral Thrush/Candida which given this is related to HIV has now made me even more concerned again, any thoughts?
I also meant to add that I have bleeding gums quite regular and as I brushed my teeth just before the encounter it is highly likely that if there was blood it will have come in contact with mine hence why I'm concerned didn't really think about this at first as didn't think I was taking a risk with the oral side however now having read up on this alot more informed.
The thing that is doing my head in is that everything statistically is telling me no but my symptoms all seem to suggest otherwise and have all happened in the time window and since the contact. I'm normally a very health person and I'm sure anxiety could cause some of these but not all hence why I'm not in a good place couldn't live with myself if I have given my wife a death sentence etc... hence the post really.
Given my timing of the DUO TESTS could it have missed the detection due to lateness of me taking them both and does it matter if you take the 90 day slightly early or does this decrease the %?
Sorry just thought I would add these bits...
