No, PCR-DNA HIV tests are not approved for diagnostic use.
Would you say the DNA PCR is a good indication at least at five weeks?
Yes it's false. They make have the results back in two weeks but a conclusive negative test is 3 months post exposure.
At TSTD I've been told by many people that their test is conclusive at two weeks. Are you saying that this false?
3 months post exposure is when you can obtain your conclusive negative test result.
At the time it was conducted they did both the dna pcr and the antibody test, both were negative at five weeks. I don't know if this changes your opinion. Are you willing to say that it is unlikely that I have HIV given these results or not?
Well they don't know what their taking about then and a western blot is used to confirm a positive antibody test, why did you have that test at all.I don't know who advised you to have those tests but they were wrong. If anything you should have had the RNA PCR or the DUO at 4 weeks. In any event,no Hiv test is conclusive until 3 Months.
I just called and talked to them and they said that it's definitive after two weeks. it's a dna pcr with western blot.
It's a test that is used to monitor people who are Hiv positive and check their viral loads. You should have had an HIV RNA by PCR.
It was done by blood test through TSTD.org and i looked it up on cdc.com and it is approved by them as conclusive after two weeks
How do you mean it's not diagnostic.
It's not even a diagnostic test. You need to take an antibody test at 12 weeks for a conclusive result.
