HIV DUO test - false positive - cold & norovirus?

Hi all,
hope everyone is well.
Any help, comment or advice on this matter greatly appreciated.

I had a HIV DUO test (100 days after possible exposure) taken the other day. I had been ill with Norovirus with my symptoms clearing 48 hours previously.

Mentioned this to the doctor and she seemed fairly certain it would have no bearing on the test and whatever the result is what I should consider my final HIV status.

However, not for wanting to question what I have been told by a highly trained medical professional, I am anxious to know if there could be any validity in norovirus antibodies being confused with HIV antibodies and producing a false positive reading?

Again thanks for any help.

Appreciate your comment.

It sounds like you are fairly certain... I hope you'll forgive me for trying to probe further into this.

Norovirus is a viral RNA just like HIV is, and I can only guess there would antibodies similar in nature which is what is being tested for. That considered would a definite no continue to be your advice?

Many thanks.
