HIV/Hep C from Tetanus shot

Hi,

I know what i'm about to say is irrational and paranoid but this forum has helped me in the past and the expertise here are much appreciated. I recently got a puncture wound from a nail at work and it bruised badly. I haven't had a tetanus shot since I was a child so thought to be safe and get one at local clinic. I did not see the nurse prepare the needle. She came in with it, had a cap on and I asked if everything is clean and she said of course. Would HIV/Hep C be possible if somehow the needle was reused or someone was accidentally pricked while she was bringing the needle to the room? Is the vaccine for tetanus somehow make the virus inactive within the needle?

Got it, thats what I'm doing. So just to confirm, this would be a no testing situation? Thanks for listening

I know they are not supposed to be reused but a mistake can happen I suppose. I guess I am playing the what if game.  Would the tetanus vaccine kill the virus or is it pointless to even speculate? So, this is a no testing situation?
