HIV Question About Potential Exposure

Hi,

About a month ago, a girl which i met at the bar gave me unprotected oral sex then she might of rubbed her groin on mine and we later had protected sex. Now i am not sure if it is stress related but about two days later i developed a sore throat and this went away about a week. At which time i started getting really stressed and getting a lot of acid reflux effects. My throat was on fire for about two weeks. Now i believe i have gotten a form of laryngitis without any other symptoms (no fever, rash, swollen lymph nodes etc...). Also i used to get random armpit pains every once in a while but i do have to admit i did touch my armpits quite a bit trying to find my lymph nodes.

I took a fourth generation elisa test at 15 days and this came out negative
I then took a 3rd generation elisa test at 21 days and this also came out negative. (this one was a bit weird because the doctor never called me and when i called them to see if my results were in, then they told me to come in (they had the results for 4 days)).The doctor instructed me that in order to make sure no infections were present in my body i should comeback in 10 weeks to do all the std tests again. I dont know if he saw something in the results that would indicate him to say something like that.

Anyways i will go and get tested in a week or so (its the most stress fueled thing i have ever done in my life). I have been pretty stressed out about the matter and have been getting barely any sleep. Just wanted some thoughts/opinions and yes i have learned my lesson. Furthermore, i also think the education system should be a little better at sending out the msg about stds and how you can get them.

I am sitting at day 30 from potential exposure without having had fever/rash.

Thanks for any input

* Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusively negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to action by MedHelp. Conclusively negative results or a no-risk situation will be based upon the criteria established by MedHelp’s doctors. Action will be taken as follows:
    * After excessive posting, a warning will be issued by MedHelp
    * Continuing to post regarding the negative result / no risk situation will result in a 3 day suspension
    * Continuing to post upon your return will result in a permanent ban.

I was just wondering lately this week i have started feeling weak on my legs and a bit nauseated. I have a hard time concentrating at work and all i want to do is go home and be by myself. Is this a symptom of ARS? I get up(mind to you that i do take pills to fall asleep and i still wake up 3 to 4 times a night some times from bad dreams) and i still feel tired, dont feel like talking to anyone.

I feel like i could of been infected from me rubbing on her but i am 99.99% sure there never was penetration w/o a condom.

And yeah i will get tested soon, just preparing for the worst.

It can't come up positive if you had no risk.

Hi Teak,

Sorry i have one more question.

I just realized that the 21 day test was a fourth generation test (which came back negative). If one of the components were to test positive they would retest right away right with plasma correct?  I mean one of the components being positive is probable that you are positive correct?

You never had an exposure, HIV is not transmitted by oral sex.
