). I've read that the RNA test is most likely conclusive at this point. However, 3 month antibody test is the best way to know for sure. Does anyone know what the odds are that I still may have the virus after these two tests together?
. PCR-RNA tests that are approved to be used in conjunction with an Antibody test. Yes you will need to test with an antibody test at three months to obtain a conclusive negative test result.
I have not been on PEP or HAART. My assumtions are the same as yours johnsllg, that if I have and undeceted viral load after 1 month, and a negative antibody test, then one can assume that I am negative. The only way that I could be positive is if I indeed tested positive on one or the other.
A positive one the antibody test would have revealed that I would have supressed the viral load beyond detection, correct?
I will get tested again after 3 months to be 100% sure that I am negative. However, I just wanted additional insight as to how "conclusive" these test results would be together after one month, and what additional information anyone could provide at this point.
