HIV Risk

Hello, I am in panic mode...I was in Las Vegas a week ago and drank way to much and made a stupid decision to go home with someone from the bar and have unprotected sex. Now I am not sure if this person is HIV positive or not...im just getting scared by the statistics that surround black americans and HIV. He did not *** inside me... as horrible as this sounds my main concerns are that he was a black male between the ages of 20-25 and all the reports that exist stating the risk of heterosexual sex with black males. If you could be honest with me on what my chances are 2 best of your knowledge. Also I have to wait like 3 months to wait to be tested because of the window period... i think I might go insane with worry by then. I am from a small town in Canada i dont know anyone with HIV, im so scared. Anyways be honest with me. Thank you.

I am not saying that, im just saying the the ratio of african americans with HIV far exceeds white americans with HIV, so iam more nervous because  every website i come across talks about the issue in america with blacks and HIV. I am just stating what I have read, not trying to make judgement.

Stats are really useless when it comes to HIV and this forum deals with risk. Unprotected sex is a risk and does dictate that you test at 3 months. You can test at 6-8 weeks for a good indication but 3 months is conclusive.

You can go over to the expert forum and read post after post from the Dr's to get a sense of the stats they use if it helps you.
