HIV Risk

Several days ago, without thinking of the risk involved, i had protected anal sex with a transsexual. I watched her put a condom on her correctly, and she gave me lubricatant. The whole act lasted maybe 5 minutes. I constanly checked the condom and it was in place during and after. She did not ejaculate in the condom, I checked the condom after and also asked her. Her response was no she did not ejaculate. I am very scared and nervious for doing something stupid, I now think that I exposed myself to HIV. I'm also married. I have never done this before... what are my chances of accuring HIV from what I mentioned? Should I get tested for HIV at 12 weeks?  Please any assistance in answering me would greatly help my stress. Thank you.

I am right, you don't have to hope to god about that. You should be praying to god that protection was used otherwise it may have been a whole new ball game.Time to move on.

You don't require any testing, you are not experiencing ARS symptoms and as you have been told, you never had a risk in the first place, protection was used.

I don't know if its stress or ARS and I'm starting to second guess the condom the TS wore. Its been 10 days since this episode, and I feel a tender node left side of groin. I remember seeing what I believe to be a condom after the act and her taking it off with a tissue. It was half way down, and I believe still covered the tip of the penis, but I don't remember if it was fully intact? I know what you and all the other comments have said, protected sex is no risk, but if I was to test knowing 3 months is conclusive, taking a test at 3 to 4 weeks, would that be a sign that my 3 month test would be the same? Sorry, just very scared and nervious.

Vance, your comments have relieved some of my stress and worries, I guess in due time it will subside. Thank you, to you and the others for telling it like it is. I will hold your comments to heart, (no risk, protected sex is not a risk etc...) and just for piece of mind, I will mostlikely test at 12 weeks...

Thank you again! Last question, based on your last opinion "IF I had no risk then no need to test",and in using my first response, do you think I was at risk?

Condoms work.

If you have no risk then no need for testing.

Thank you for the quick response Vance, It does help! Just so your answer sinks into my brain... I understand condoms are a barrier for preventing HIV and STD's (anal, oral, vaginal), but have you ever heard of anyone getting HIV based my first question (condom worn, no breakage, no ejaculate)? There is still a chance, small as it may be? Aslo for good measures, do you recommend, I have a HIV test?
