HIV Risk

Good Evening,

I am a 32 year male from Middle East.
I am an sexually an active person but I am always using condoms.
I am seeing since long time a CSW with whom I always have safe sex.
Once we had an unprotected anal intercourse where I ejaculated outside. The thing lasted for 2 minutes.
Exposure happened since 40 days and I felt no usual symptoms. I had some swelling in the armpit, when I went to 3 doctors all of them mentioned that it is swollen sweat glands not lymphs.
Since two days I am feeling some discomfort in the throat, I went to doctor who said that it is a uvula inflammation. I have noticed today a white spot on the left tonsil. I don't have a difficulty swallowing or eating but I am started to get worried.
Just wanted to hear from you guys on the infection risk knowing that I am a circumcised man and the lady confirmed she is not suffering from any STD

3bouda,

HIV-1 has an incubation period of viral replication of approximately 2-4 weeks with 98.3% or seropositive conversions happening around day 22. HIV-2 has a much longer incubation period, but you said you're from the Middle East and it's extremely unlikely you would have been exposed to HIV-2.

Do you have access to a medical facility that can administer a HIV-1/2 RNA Polymerase immunoassay test? At 40 days, if you were exposed and seroconversion occurred there would 98.9% be detectable antibodies present.

You can order the OraQuick HIV-1/2 Ellisa antigen assay online and they ship internationally.

You had a  high risk from unprotected intercourse.  Take an antibody test at 6-8 weeks then again at 3 months.

Yes it is a risk and at this point you can only wait and test. Take an antibody test at 8 weeks.
