If you believe you have been exposed to HIV and want help to judge your risk, would like advice about HIV testing, or have questions about the effectiveness of condoms or risks associated with specific sexual practices, this is the site for you.
I had sex with an older chinese woman who was on her period last friday. I was too drunk so dont remember all the details- but we used protection for everything except the oral part.
I am really scared now. Since tuesday I have been having a slight fever, a slightly sore throat and a slight irritation in the scrotal area. I am really worried about the fever and the sore throat as I read that there is always an onset of a flu like initial infection when you get HIV
Please advice - I am starting to really freak out.
Thanks for that...sorry about sounding paranoid, but thats just what I am now- I cant explain the fever and the sore throat- the more I think about it, the more freaked out I get. What is the general onset time for the initial infection ?
And there is no point in me getting myself tested till 3 months from now, right ?
Could someone please answer the question above...What is the general onset time for the primary infection? I started feeling down within 4 days and it has been going on for 4-5 days now.
My doctor suggested it could be mono.
