HIV Test

ELFA test - how reliable ?
what does that mean ?
after potential exposure 6 months ELFA test can be taken as conclusive ? Or need to test again ?

The virus isn't alive. It's either active or inactive. HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.
