It doesn't matter, but I can tell you will worry about those six days of you take it at the 84 day mark. Just go for a test after 90 days to confirm your negative results thus far.
Thank you guys for your answers.
I hope it will remain negative when I take it again at 3 months and I will post my results here to reassure other scared people with scary symptomps.
Does it really matter if I take it at the 12th week instead of the 13th week?
OP, your results are highly promising. If I were you, I'd go for a follow up test at the three month mark. That's what the CDC advises and I'm a belt and suspenders kind of person, especially when it comes to something like this.
CDC always most sensitive with the statement. Yes 6 weeks test is most conclusive, as per science antigen will be there till 4 th week, you have done ur test at 6 th week , its conclusive.
Cdc is really conservative just to be 100 percent sure but come on a 4 week test with a duo bieng 99% accurate is pretty dam good that's why experts say it's conclusive
Nowhere does the CDC say a 4th Generation is conclusive at 3 weeks. "Can detect" is a lot different than "will detect." That said, most experts will regard a negative 4th Generation test at 4-6 weeks as "conclusive" (i.e. over 99% reliable).
If you are concerned, you can take another test at 3 months. It will inevitably be negative.
I don't find it :/
I only find it says "some newer antigen/antibody lab tests can sometimes find HIV as soon as 3 weeks after exposure to the virus" but it doesn't say it is conclusive at 3 weeks or 4 weeks.
Could you please send me the link?
Thanks
Yes it does say 3 weeks and all experts say at 4 weeks 28 days is conclusive other doctors recommend testing at 3 months after to be 100 percent sure but 99 percent sure at 4 weeks is pretty dam close if you ask me
Read what they say about antigen/antibody tests. It clearly says 3 weeks
So the CDC still says 3 months, not 4 weeks as they say on this forum. I was confused because they were crazy on this forum before about the "3 months, 3 months and we won't say otherwise unless the CDC changes their guidelines" BUT you see now, the CDC still states 3 months and here you say 4 weeks...
Thank you for your answer.
1. No
2. 3 months
3. Go to the CDC website, they say 3 weeks
Thank you James!
I would really appreciate if someone could answer all of my three questions.
Thanks!
