HIV Testing time

Straight to the question. I had a protected sex with an escort 11 weeks back. It was a brief intercourse for 1 min. I verified that the condom did not broke after the intercourse. I immidiately started feling bad about this however somehow i convinced myself that this will never happen again. 10 weeks passed without incident though i was anxious all the time about HIV.

After that I developed a low grade fever (99 Deg Farenheit), and loss off appetite. This freaked me out. So I went into hospital and got a HIV1 &2 Antibody and Antigen combo chemi test done. The result came out as negative (non reactive 0.05). The fever and loss of appetite got coupled with a chest pain which lated 1-2 days It freaked me like hell and then I went to the doctor he told me to relax and ordered a RNA PCR (On my insistence) and CBC. Today just after my 11 week mark I got HIV1 &2 Antibody and Antigen combo chemi test done again. All my results came today and I am negative in RNA PCR and also in the second antibody test (non reactive 0.05) . Though my CBC suggest low lymhocytes (19.9% ) and which worries me again as low lymhocytes does suggest weak immune system. Could it be possible that due to low lymhocytes my antibodies are taking time to show up or I am actually HIV infected. I know that RNA PCR negative after 11 weeks is almost definitive but it only tests for HIV-1 as per the test specification so what about HIV-2. The low grade fever is still there with very less appetite.

Could somebody please tell me that whether I can relax or I can still be infected after all

You didn't have a risk and didn't need testing.

You didn't need a PCR test after protected sex; it was a waste of money.

You never had a risk.

Since you didn't have a risk, your 11 week Ab/Ag test is conclusive.

Initially I felt the same but the symptoms worried me. Thinking that maybe the girl has applied petroleum based lube which could have dameged the latex of the condom and all other things. I am going to my doctor tomorrow with the results to get medication if needed for the other possible reason for which I am having fever. Just one last query is that should i be worried about my low lymhocytes %ge  in relation to HIV or not at all.

Guys,

Sincere apologies for coming back on this. Though my worries and my symptoms are not allwoing me to sleep.

I have developed a low grade fever (max 99.6) for this whole week with sore throat now for 2 days. I am now taking anitibotics as prescribed by my doctor for the past 5 days but the fever is still there.

I have another AB/AG chemi test done at 82 days (almost 12 weeks) not sure I needed it but for my peace of mind as it is said that 12 weeks test is conclusive hence I got it done. It is negative (0.03). I got in peace after the test but this fever for a week and sore throat is worrying me. So please can you answer below querys

1. Can ARS come this late almost 11 weeks
2. Do I need further testing at 3 months (13 weeks)
3. Is there a chance of 82 days -ve test turning to +ve
